Privacy policy
Last updated 16 October 2026. Applies to the Bot Portal browser extension, the Bot Portal relay at relay.botportal.app, and this website.
What Bot Portal does
Bot Portal lets you save a web page, or text you selected on it, so your AI agent (Grok Bot, Muse, Instinct or another) can discuss it with you later.
What the extension reads, and when
- Only when you click Bot Portal, press its keyboard shortcut or use its right-click menu.
- Only the tab you are saving: its address, title, author and date if the page states them, its main text, and any text you selected.
- The note you type and the mode you pick ("just save" or "act now").
Bot Portal does not read your other tabs, your browsing history, or any page you don't save. It has no analytics and no tracking.
Where it goes
- Grok Bot routine. If you connect a Grok Bot routine, the save goes straight from your browser to that routine's webhook. Bot Portal's own servers never see it.
- Email. If you connect an email inbox (for example your Gmail for Muse, or Instinct's address), the save goes to the Bot Portal relay, which emails it to that one inbox and then discards it. The relay keeps only the save's id, for two days, so a retried save isn't emailed twice. The relay runs on Cloudflare Workers, and emails are sent through our email provider, Resend.
Once your agent receives a save, it is handled under that agent's own terms and privacy policy.
What is stored
- In your browser: your settings, the webhook key or relay token (encrypted), and saves waiting to be sent while the destination is unreachable. "Disconnect" in settings removes the key and the waiting saves.
- On the relay: the email address you verified, a hashed copy of your token, the day's save count, and save ids for two days. "Disconnect" deletes the address and token from the relay (it can take up to a minute to stop working everywhere).
- While you set up: an address you asked a code for is kept for up to 24 hours until it is verified. To limit abuse, the relay counts code requests and wrong codes for an hour, under a hashed copy of your IP address and of the email address, never the address itself.
- Error logs: when an email can't be sent, the relay logs the email provider's answer. It never logs your address or what you saved.
This website
botportal.app is a static site served by Cloudflare. It sets no cookies and has no analytics or trackers. Its only scripts are our own, served from this domain, for the demo and the copy buttons on the home page; they send nothing anywhere. Fonts are served from this domain too. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes basic request data (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver and protect the site. If you email us, we use your message only to reply.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or rent your data, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models.
- We don't transfer it to anyone except as described above (your chosen destination, and the email provider for email delivery), or where the law requires it.
Your choices
- You can withdraw your agreement in the extension's settings at any time; Bot Portal then sends nothing.
- You can disconnect, which removes your key or token and, for email, your address from the relay.
- Removing the extension deletes everything it stored in your browser.
